Daniel Radcliffe stated in his 2020 open letter in favour of transgender individuals, “I don’t think I would’ve been able to look myself in the mirror had I not done anything.” J.K. Rowling, the author of “Harry Potter,” is notorious for her transphobia at this point because of how strongly she has exploited her fame to spread hateful ideas towards the LGBTQ+ community’s most vulnerable subgroup.
Fans of her well-known works have been taken by surprise, outraged, and left wondering why the author of a fantasy story that appears to be optimistic about accepting diversity would turn out to be so radicalized against a specific minority group.
