Nicole Kidman Will Receive The 49th AFI Life Achievement Award: Some career-long recognition is coming Nicole Kidman’s way. The American Film Institute’s Board of Trustees said on Tuesday that Kidman, 55, will receive the organization’s Life Achievement Award, which it referred to as “the highest accolade for a film career.”
On Saturday, June 10, 2023, Kidman, who most recently appeared in The Northman in April, will receive the honour at a spectacular homage at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre. According to a press release, she is the first Australian actor ever to receive the AFI Life Achievement Award, making her the 49th recipient overall.

She has been nominated for five Academy Awards and won the Oscar for Best Actress in 2003 for her role in The Hours. Among the actress’s more than 90 acting credits are upcoming parts in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and the Amazon feature Holland, Michigan.
After Kidman’s 2021 viral advertisement for AMC, in which she is seen wandering around a theatre and amazed by the magic of film, the CEO of AMC Theatres, Adam Aron, declared during an earnings call in August that Kidman is expected to continue serving as the company’s spokesperson “for another full year.”
