Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Charles Parnell, Bashir Salahuddin, Monica Barbaro, Jay Ellis, Danny Ramirez, Greg Tarzan Davis, Ed Harris, and Val Kilmer feature in the Paramount Pictures, Skydance, and Jerry Bruckheimer Films-produced movie.

Top Gun: Maverick has surpassed the $1.4 billion mark globally, making it one of the highest-grossing movies ever. The movie will be available for streaming just in time for the holidays. The film will be available on Paramount+ before the year is through, according to Bob Bakish, CEO of Paramount Global.

In response to Covid, the company has pursued what the chief executive calls a “fast-follow” release window approach, with most big-budget films arriving at Paramount+ 45 days following their theatrical debut. However, since its May 27 release, Maverick has enjoyed unparalleled success, becoming the most financially successful movie of Cruise’s career and one of the all-time greatest hits.

Even while access to theatrical films has been one of the factors contributing to Paramount+’s rapid growth, this meant that the firm was not in a rush to move it to stream. The service now has roughly 46 million customers worldwide after adding 4.6 million new ones in the most recent quarter. The launch of Top Gun: Maverick on Epix is scheduled for Thursday, December 22, at 8 p.m. EST/PST.
