Mito Pereira spent a year competing in college golf with the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The World Amateur Golf Ranking placed him fifth in the world in August 2015. In 2015, Pereira transitioned to the professional circuit, and in 2016, he played on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica.
