Love After Lockup Season 5: Love After Lockup, a popular series in the WeTV franchise, will soon air a new season. New episodes of Season 5 will begin airing on the network on Friday, December 16, 2022, at 9 pm ET. Four seasons of the reality show about inmates who fall in love after release have aired, and the series only gets more dramatic as time goes on.
The upcoming season will keep viewers glued to their seats by focusing on a few couples as they adjust to life outside of prison. Season 5 of Love After Lockup features a number of couples, including Nathan and Skylar, Gabby and Chris, Monique and Derek, Aris and Cameron, Justine and Michael, and Ashley and Travis.

Love After Lockup Season 5: What To Expect?
Season 5 of Love After Lockup will follow the six couples as they face a variety of challenges in their new lives outside of prison. Some of the cast members are new to the franchise, but fans have followed the development of others.
The preview gives fans a taste of what to look forward to in the upcoming season. You can see Justine tell Michael she loves him in the preview. Ashley then gives Travis a hug after confessing that she was “drunk in love” with him. The preview also shows Aris and Cameron’s wedding, complete with a champagne toast from the groom.
Gabby and Chris are shown exchanging rings in the Love After Lockup season 5 trailer, while Chris’s family watches from inside the car. Next, Nathan reveals that he and Skylar started talking behind bars. The trailer then teases potential tension between the couple when the former confronts Skylar about a man who has been constantly calling her.
In a different scene, Justine and Michael are on their way home, but she has some unfinished business with her kids before they can officially adopt Michael. Cameron has yet to earn the title of “step-dad” from Aris’s daughter.
Meanwhile, in another scene, Monique admits that she has never met Derek. Even when she isn’t there, she’s keeping tabs on Derek through a hidden camera in the house. Then, the Love After Lockup trailer shows Nathan fighting with his mom because she doesn’t approve of him dating Skylar.
She is worried, however, because she doesn’t want her son to follow in the footsteps of Skylar’s previous two boyfriends in terms of untimely death. Also, Gabby’s mom thinks her daughter’s romance with Chris is a “circus” and doesn’t approve of it.
Another clip from the upcoming season of Love After Lockup shows fan-favorite couple Gabby and Chris navigating their daily lives. The former is overheard discussing her difficult relationship with Chris’s family with her friend. The actress gives her account of the events. Chris had previously settled for $100,000 after being severely beaten by guards at Rikers Island.

He gave Gabby fifty percent, and she said she used it to pay bills, decorate the apartment, buy furniture, pay down credit card debt, and put a down payment on a car. She continues by saying that Chris is currently destitute, but that she, not his mother, is sending him financial support. The fifth season of Love After Lockup promises to be very exciting.
Some married couples are able to work through their problems and emerge stronger than before, but others may continue to struggle long after they’ve been released from jail. Viewers will have to tune in to find out how the cast members deal with life after prison.
