Thousands of people stood in line for hours to get a seat inside the Grand Ole Opry House while braving the rain. Fans were aware that entry was not guaranteed because there were a limited number of seats available.

However, other people told us that the late country music icon meant so much to them that they still wanted to attend the service, even if it meant standing outside. It’s beautiful that people are willing to show their support in this way, according to Angie Anselment, who spoke to numerous people while waiting in line who had travelled from all over the country to participate.
