Rhea Ripley was born Demi Bennett on October 11, 1996, in Adelaide, South Australia. She is presently under contract with WWE, where she performs under the ring name Rhea Ripley on the Raw roster.
Rhea debuted as a professional wrestler in 2013. It was in 2013 that she first started working for Riot City Wrestling. During her time with the company, Ripley won the RCW Women’s Championship twice. She is 5 feet and 7 inches tall.

Rhea Ripley Career
Ripley made her professional wrestling debut in 2013 at Riot City Wrestling, when she was only 17 years old. She was a Riot City Wrestling Champion twice during her more than four years there.
She departed on April 22, 2017, to join the WWE. The first Mae Young Classic competition featured her. In that match, she first used the ring name, Rhea Ripley. She won the first round by defeating Miranda Salinas but then fell to Dakota Kai in the second. Ripley first appeared on TV on October 25th, 2017.
During the 2018 Mae Young Classic, she debuted her heel persona and a whole new outfit. As of recently, Ripley is an NXT UK employee. To crown, the first NXT UK Women’s champion, a tournament amongst eight competitors was organized.
To win the first NXT UK women’s champion, she competed against other female wrestlers like Dakota Kai and Toni Storm and ultimately prevailed. She held the title for 139 days before losing it to Toni Storm in January 2019. After defeating Shayna Baszler in December 2019, Ripley won the NXT Women’s Championship.
Almost a year and a half later, on the 22nd of March edition of Raw, one month after a vignette of her aired, teasing her entrance, Ripley made her main roster debut. Shortly after her arrival, Ripley challenged the reigning Raw women’s champion Asuka to a title battle. The original plan called for the match to happen on WrestleMania Night 2.
Wrestling promotion WWE has announced that Ripley has won the Raw Women’s Championship after defeating Asuka. However, Charlotte Flair would eventually beat her at the Money in the Bank 2021 event, and take her title. Her sole tenure as RAW Women’s champion lasted 98 days.

In a triple-threat match against Nikki A.S.H. and Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam, she was unable to regain her championship. Over the next few weeks, Rhea and the always-upbeat Nikki A.S.H. grew close in their special way. They defeated Natalya and Tamina for the Women’s Tag Team Championship on RAW on September 20.
As of the 22nd episode of RAW, Queen Zelina and Carmella are the new champions, having dethroned them after 63 days. They missed opportunities to reclaim the titles and Ripley wanted out of her partnership with Nikki on the RAW program airing on January 16.
She emphasized that despite the change, the friendship and camaraderie between the two will remain strong. But Nikki took offence and began attacking Ripley. Rhea defeated her former tag team partner after a dispute that lasted several weeks. Since then, Rhea has been involved in several high-stakes bouts, including last week’s triple threat battle against Becky and Bianca for Becky’s RAW Women’s title.
At WrestleMania 38, she and Liv Morgan competed in a triple threat tag team match against Queen Zelina and Carmella, the reigning tag champs, and Sasha Banks and Naomi. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship was at stake. Recently, Ripley turned on Liv Morgan. What remains to be seen at this point is if she will be included on the WWE WrestleMania Backlash bout card.

On May 1, 2022, Rhea Ripley posted a confirmation on Twitter that she was dating Buddy Matthews, another Australian wrestler (Sunday). When a fan asked her what Matthews had that she doesn’t, the wrestler responded, “Me,” making it official.
Matthew occasionally appears on Rhea’s Twitch feeds, and the two have shared a lot of footage of their joint workouts on other social media sites like Instagram and Twitter in the past.
Recently, Ripley also posted a video in which the two were seen having sexual relations, which fuelled rumours that the two were dating.

In Australia, where he was born and raised, he was known as “Matt Silva” on the wrestling circuit before signing with WWE. Indeed, he has progressed quite a bit since we last saw him.
