Police in Uniontown charged a 14-year-old girl with unintentional kἰlling after they say she shΘt and kἰlled a 16-year-old boy inside a house on Saturday (15 July). The adolescent told investigators she was toying with a gun she believed to be a BB gun.
On Saturday, while Dakota Ambler was sleeping, her companion awoke her to inform her that a teenager had been shΘt next door. She rushed outside to discover police officers surrounding her neighborhood and crime tape barricading the streets.
Ambler said –
“All these kids dying from their guns, it’s sad.”
A juvenile reportedly called 911 around 3:15 p.m. to report a shΘΘting inside a residence on Wilson Avenue near Jefferson Street, according to police. Officers discovered the 16-year-old youth deἀd upon arrival.
When law enforcement arrived, the juvenile who made the call was gone, but a 14-year-old female admitted to firing the weapon. She was charged with involuntary manslaughter and other related offenses by investigators. It is unclear how she knew the adolescent.

Saturday marked the third occasion in the region since last Saturday that a teenager was kἰlled in a shΘΘting, but in this case, police said it was an accident. A resident of the neighborhood who did not wish to be identified stated that guns should not be given to individuals who do not know how to use them.
The man said –
“They could accidentally shΘΘt somebody else and hurt somebody else.”
As soon as Ambler had children, she disposed of her firearm for this very reason.
Ambler said –
“I’m scared. Kids are curious, they get into everything.”
“You don’t play with guns at all.”
Police have not yet disclosed who resides at the residence, who the pistol belongs to, or whether it was properly stored. No adults were present during the gunfire. Ambler simply prays for everyone involved.
Ambler said –
“I feel bad for the mother, I really do. It’s really upsetting.”
The girl was accused as a juvenile, and she is cooperating with the investigation, according to the police. She is presently being held in a juvenile detention facility pending her court date.
