Tom Brady Appears In 80 Trailer Released: The new comedy film 80 for Brady, which revolves around four girlfriends in their 80s who travelled to watch the Pats play in Super Bowl LI against the Atlanta Falcons in 2017, features Tom Brady, the longtime quarterback of the New England Patriots, as its star.
According to Michaela Zee of Variety, Brady plays himself in the film, which also stars his former Patriots colleagues Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, and Danny Amendola. Brady remarked, “We’ve been in a lot of conflicts together.

Through his firm 199 Productions, the future Hall of Fame quarterback, who currently represents the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is also a producer for the film. Rita Moreno, Sally Field, Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlin play the four companions who witnessed the most remarkable comeback in Super Bowl history.

After falling behind the Falcons 28-3 in the third quarter, the Patriots scored 31 unanswered points in the remaining 17 minutes to defeat them 34-28 and win the championship.
Brady won another Super Bowl with New England two years later before leaving to join the Buccaneers in 2020, making this his sixth championship ring overall. In his first year in Tampa, he won seven championships, giving him two more than any other player in NFL history.

According to Brady and Zee, the film crew stressed authenticity. To ensure that the moments were being recreated precisely as they were, he added, “They had great attention to detail, even matching old team locker room images.”
The 45-year-old NFL icon, who previously had cameo appearances on television shows like Entourage, Family Guy, The Simpsons, and the 2003 movie Stuck on You, will make his theatrical debut in a leading role. The release date for 80 for Brady is set for February 3.
