The HGTV star Tarek El Moussa maintains the same appearance as in 2013 when the first season of his home improvement program Flip or Flop starring his ex-wife Christina Hall aired. After overcoming some health issues, including thyroid cancer, testicular cancer, and back surgery, the Long Beach, California, native visited an anti-aging facility. He was left feeling weak, so he ultimately needed testosterone therapy to help him regain his vitality. Just my hormones were out of whack.
I assumed my fatigue was caused by my thyroid medication, but it wasn’t,” Tarek admitted. Tarek remarked, referring to Christina, “I went to this Botox doctor and hormone clinic that my ex advised me to go check out.” The next thing he knew, he said, “I’m sticking a needle in my ass and ingesting steroids… it was testosterone,” adding that he was given two times the usual amount of the hormone.
The real estate investor remembered, “That was horrific. “I was getting daily injections of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) because I was ordered to, and I was absolutely on much too much testosterone.” Despite their 2016 breakup, Tarek and Christina kept working on Flip or Flop.

After completing their divorce in 2018, he wed Selling Sunset actress Heather Rae Young in October 2021. Son Tristan Jay, the couple’s firstborn, was born in January 2023. After I had recovered from my second cancer four months later, I damaged my back. I then shed 60 pounds.

“I was taking about 10 Vicodin a day, and on top of that, my medications, hormones, and painkillers were all gone, and I’m filming and working.” He continued, “Those three or four years were incredibly difficult. Fortunately, Tarek is now healthy and enjoying his new life with Heather and their son as of 2023.
