Outer Banks Season 3: Estimate & What We Know So Far

It hasn’t been easy to go more than a year without any fresh material involving the Outer Banks. When will season two of the Netflix show begin? John B. (Chase Stokes) and the rest of our favorite Pogues had another mission go awry when we last saw them in the Season 2 finale. Even if they didn’t end up with the Cross of Santo Domingo, at least everybody survived the shipwreck. Is there going to be any fallout from the revelation that John B.’s dad, Big John (Charles Halford), is still alive?

It’s not certain what will happen in Season 3, but we’re crossing our fingers for a reconciliation between the father and son. The series takes place on North Carolina’s Outer Banks, and it focuses on a group of teenagers called the Pogues. John B. and his companions go off on an adventure to discover what happened to his father, but soon find themselves in a life-or-death treasure hunt with the opposing Kooks. Outer Banks season 3.

Outer Banks Season 3 Spoilers

Elizabeth Mitchell, who plays Carla Limbrey, hinted to her character’s future in an interview with Metacritic. Mitchell said, “He’s amazing, and I get to hang out with Big John (Charles Halford) quite a bit.” Season 2 of Outer Banks ended with a hint at this potential alliance, as Big John promised Limbrey his assistance in locating the healing shroud if she committed to aid his son John B. I wouldn’t say they’re “teaming up,” but they certainly spend a lot of time together in the beginning. Limbrey, of course, has shown that she can’t be trusted; in Season 2, she murdered her own half-brother. Let’s just say that I don’t think Limbrey is a team player, as Mitchell put it.

What Happened In Outer Banks Season 2?

The second season of Outer Banks finished with the Pogues having another terrifying near-death encounter, just like the first season did. The second season of the Netflix show focused largely on John B., Sarah, JJ, Kiara, and Pope’s quest to recover the stolen Cross of Santo Domingo. As the season finale drew to a close, the crew made a covert attempt to steal the cross from the Coastal Venture. Following a violent gunfight, they were ultimately unsuccessful and were forced to flee on a lifeboat. Despite the fact that the Pogues came away empty-handed once again, the episode concluded on a high note as they celebrated their continued survival and the fact that they were all together and safe.a
