In order to prevent enhancing the rapper’s platform, MRC Entertainment also informed staff that a finished documentary on him was being shelved. Major talent agency CAA has dropped Kanye West as a result of the ongoing backlash to his anti-Semitic remarks on various platforms.
Following his recent outbursts, CAA, who has represented the rapper now known as Ye since 2016, made the decision, ending the latest commercial partnership to do so as a result of the scandal. The Los Angeles Times broke the news first on Monday.
A completed documentary about Ye will be canceled as a result of his antisemitic remarks, MRC studio executives announced in an internal memo on Monday, according to a story in Variety.

We decided this morning not to pursue any release for our newly finished Kanye West documentary after consulting with our filmmakers and distribution partners. The memo reportedly added, “We cannot endorse any work that expands his platform. Kanye is a music producer and sampler.
He sampled and remixed a popular song last week that has been on the charts for more than 3,000 years, spreading the myth that Jews are evil and want to rule the globe for their own benefit.
Ye claimed on Instagram earlier this month that fellow rapper Diddy is under Jewish influence. He posted on Twitter that he was “about to go death con 3” on Jews when Instagram suspended his account.
He said, “The odd thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are truly Jews. Also, You guys have been playing games with me and trying to blackball everyone who opposes your plan.

The tweet was deleted because it broke Twitter’s rules. However, the proprietor of Parler, the ostensibly “uncancelable free speech platform” beloved by conservatives and radicals, later declared Ye was purchasing the business for an undisclosed sum.
The backlash was exacerbated when, on October 11, Vice also released Ye’s complete conversation with Tucker Carlson of Fox News, during which the rapper made other antisemitic statements.
Additionally, Ye wore a “White Lives Matter” shirt while standing next to conservative commentator Candace Owens at a fashion show in October. The rapper and fashion mogul’s representatives have just been dropped by CAA and MRC Entertainment. The Gap and Vogue parted ways with Ye last week, and so did Balenciaga.
After West stated on a podcast, “The thing between me and Adidas is I can basically say antisemitic things and they can’t drop me,” there is now increased pressure on Adidas to follow suit. Even if I use anti-Semitic language, Adidas won’t fire me. What’s next? Requests for comment on the situation from Adidas have gone unanswered.
