Brown passed away over six months after her husband, Nick Gordon, and a friend discovered her face-down in a bathtub in the bathroom of her house in Roswell, Georgia, on January 31, 2015.

According to TMZ, Gordon and the friend dialed 911 and began performing CPR on Brown before the cops and paramedics showed up. Brown was transported to the hospital by ambulance after the emergency crews arrived, where medical staff stabilized her breathing and admitted her to the intensive care unit.
After specialists found that Brown’s brain function had “significantly diminished” as a result of brain swelling, they put her on a ventilator and put her into a medically induced coma while she was still in the intensive care unit. Bobbi Kristina Brown is surrounded by her immediate family and is struggling for her life, according to a statement released at the time by the Brown family.

Brown was transferred to a treatment facility in Atlanta, Georgia, later that month, where she remained unconscious.
After her organs started failing and doctors warned her family that she could die at any time, she was transferred to hospice care and taken off all medications in June 2015, according to Entertainment Tonight. Her aunt Pat Houston informed the website at the time that “Bobbi Kristina Brown’s condition has continued to deteriorate despite the superb medical attention at multiple facilities. She was placed in hospice care as of today. We appreciate everyone’s prayers and support. She is now in God’s care.

What caused the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown? According to an autopsy report by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office, Brown died as a result of drug intoxication and drowning. In Brown’s system, the toxicology report discovered marijuana, alcohol, “a cocaine-related substance,” sedative and anti-anxiety drugs, and morphine.
The medical examiner’s office stated at the time that “the underlying cause of death is the condition which starts the downhill course of events leading to death” In this case, it was the immersion linked with drug intoxication. “Pneumonia and encephalopathy are more immediate causes, which resulted from the immersion and drug intoxication.”
Additionally, the medical examiner’s office was unable to determine whether Brown’s death was a result of suicide or an accident. “Death was clearly not caused by natural causes, but the medical examiner was unable to determine whether the death was due to intentional or accidental causes and therefore classified the manner of death as undetermined,” the statement stated. Additionally, the autopsy revealed Brown had “no significant injuries.”

The medical examiner’s office added that it would be difficult to recreate what happened before Brown’s initial unresponsiveness because of the time that passed from the time she was discovered unconscious in January 2015 and when she passed away in July 2015. It will be difficult to interpret the results of the autopsy as well as other information. An autopsy, though, might be useful to answer any queries regarding what caused her to become unresponsive and eventually pass away.
