Nintendo Switch gamers may have their most anticipated game since the original Zelda: The Breath of the Wild. With a Nintendo Direct at E3 2021, we now have a few solid details about the game, including our first glimpse at gameplay, which is still a big mystery. The Link will be able to explore temples in the sky in the sequel to the best video game of the last decade, which was supposed to be released in 2022 but has recently been delayed.
However, we know that Link and Zelda are back, the story will continue from where the first game left off, and the game will be released on the Nintendo Switch. Besides that, we have no further information. Breath of the Wild 2 is one of the year’s most anticipated games, but so far, we have very little information.

Breath Of The Wild 2 Release Date
As of July 2022, series producer Eiji Aonuma announced that Breath of the Wild 2 would be delayed until at least 2023. The game was initially scheduled for a 2022 release during Nintendo’s E3 2021 keynote. “For those of you who were looking forward to a release this year, we apologize,” he said in his statement.
Like in the first game, the action will occur on the ground and in the sky, as previously announced. You’ll be able to take advantage of new encounters and gameplay elements in the expanded world, but that’s not all there is to it. There is still much work to be done to make this game’s experience truly unique, so we ask that you bear with us.
So Bayonetta 3’s release date trailer just dropped. I don’t play Bayonetta, I’m just hoping that this means Breath of The Wild 2 will have a release date soon. & maybe Metroid Prime 4. Hopefully they make a bundle pack of those like they did for the Wii. Big Nintendo nerd here.

Breath Of The Wild 2 Speculation
Breath of the Wild 2’s release date is currently unknown. We previously anticipated the game would be released in 2022 based on the Nintendo Direct E3 2021 stream. In an update, Nintendo confirmed that the Wild 2 was released in Spring 2023. This isn’t a major setback, but it’s nonetheless disheartening because we were expecting it in the winter of 2022. Because we can’t wait until 2023.
Breath Of The Wild 2 Plotline
Breath Of The Wild 2 is a direct sequel to the events of Breath Of The Wild, which was released in 2017, as the placeholder title implies. We still don’t know how long after that game it is set or whether the events from the spin-off Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity will be connected in any way.
Nintendo’s Bill Trinen claims that the official title has not been made public because doing so might expose plot aspects of the game before Nintendo is prepared to do so.
What is certain is that Hyrule, the open world introduced in Breath of the Wild, will serve as the game’s setting, although one with novel architecture like the soaring islands in the sky. It reminds me of the worlds of Wind Waker and Skyward Sword, both of which saw Hyrule submerged beneath a smattering of tiny islands.
According to recent Nintendo patent applications, Link will have significantly more maneuverability in the skies in Breath of the Wild 2. According to the patents, Link might be able to turn back time and pass through solid objects using his Sheikah Slate.
Breath Of The Wild 2 Gameplay
If Nintendo has anything to hide, it’s that they’re playing it safe. But there are some familiarities that fans will recognize from the last game and some significant alterations.
According to what we’ve seen so far, the floating towns of Skyward Sword are making a comeback in what appears to be a magnificent environment that has Link flying through the clouds to get anywhere.
Nintendo chose not to show off Breath of the Wild 2 at the Direct stream in September, and the game was also absent from this year’s Tokyo Game Show. Thus, no more gameplay details have been revealed yet.
