Bradley Cooper To Star In Steven Spielberg’s Bullitt Movie: Bradley Cooper has been cast in the lead in the next film directed by Steven Spielberg and based on the cynical San Francisco police officer. Steve McQueen first played this position in the action film Bullitt, which was released in 1968.

Cooper is set to take on the role of Bullitt in an original plot inspired by the original film but not a remake. In the first version of the film, Peter Yates directed, the investigator was tasked with tracking down a mafia leader responsible for ordering an assassination attempt on a crucial witness in an ongoing organized crime investigation.

McQueen played one of his favourite parts in this movie, featuring a car chase that is widely considered among the most famous of all time.
In addition to serving as the film’s director, Steven Spielberg will also produce it alongside Bradley Cooper and Kristie Macosko Krieger. This will be the trio’s second time working together, their first project being the upcoming Leonard Bernstein movie Maestro.

The new film adaptation of Bullitt is being written by Josh Singer (First Man), and Steve McQueen’s son Chad and granddaughter Molly will serve as executive producers on the project.
Maestro, a film Cooper co-wrote, directed, produced, and starred in alongside Carey Mulligan, is currently in the post-production phase for Bradley Cooper. The movie is scheduled to make its debut on Netflix in the year 2023. The news of Cooper’s casting was first reported by Deadline.
