Kristen Stewart’s upcoming movie will have a meta twist, continuing her tendency of playing powerful real-life women. In the film “Sontag,” which will be directed by Kirsten Johnson, the actor will play Susan Sontag. The project was initially covered by Screen Daily.

The film will be written for the screen by Johnson and Lisa Kron, and it is based on Ben Moser’s biography “Sontag: Her Life.” The project, for which Stewart will serve as jury president at the Berlin Film Festival, will be produced by the UK-Australian company Brouhaha Entertainment.
