Shiny Happy Duggars Release Date: Plot, Trailer and More Update!

The Duggars were a household name at the end of the 2000s and the beginning of the 2010s, so it’s unlikely that you managed to escape hearing about them. The family was the focus of the reality TV series “19 Kids and Counting,” which followed the daily lives of the massive family for seven years starting in 2008.  The Duggars were devoted Christians who refused to use birth control and homeschooled all of their kids.

Despite giving off the impression that they were a large happy family, it discovered that what was going on may have been considerably more sinister than it first appeared. When Josh, the family’s eldest son, admitted to the molestation of five girls and the show was canceled, the first fissures in the Duggars’ façade started to show.

Josh was detained in 2021 and charged with receiving and possessing child pornography, though he was never charged. A recent documentary claims that “19 Kids and Counting” is being run by even more sinister forces. The documentary “Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets” on Amazon Prime promises to reveal the “radical organization” known as the Institute in Basic Life Principles, which is said to have been the family’s primary source of wealth.
