Ballerini recalled a time when she felt her relationship was going through a rough patch and expressed her hope that it was only a temporary situation by saying, “For a while, it was kind of like, ‘OK, this is just a new part of a relationship’.
Because, you know, relationships go through different phases. And things won’t always be rainbows and butterflies. For a very long time, I thought, “Oh, this is simply… The sparkle disappears. That is what takes place,” she continued. “And after that, you enter a phase in which you wait for it to return. Additionally, it doesn’t always.

The 29-year-old singer revealed in August that she and Evans, 37, were getting a divorce after five years of marriage. The two country music singers reached a divorce settlement deal in October. According to reports, the two have left their Nashville house and will divide the proceeds of its sale as part of that arrangement.
Apparently, the former spouses had a prenuptial agreement. Ballerini made the choice to actually file for divorce as part of a bigger choice to act in her best interests in terms of happiness and mental health.

The two country music artists got engaged in December of the same year they first met. The next year, they got hitched in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
