Julianne Hough discusses her candid talk with her husband, Brooks Laich, in a new interview with Women’s Health. Her “massive transformation” happened after she had in vitro fertilization after being diagnosed with endometriosis. The America’s Got Talent judge said her husband has been very supportive during the highs and lows, but she wasn’t sure how he would react to her newfound fortitude.
She explained, “I was relating to the lady within who doesn’t need anything, as opposed to the small girl who turned on him to protect me. “I thought, ‘Is he going to love this version of me?'” But the more I became my most genuine self, the more drawn he became to me. Now, our bond is more close-knit. Julianne was able to talk openly about her sexuality with Brooks as a result of her new relationship with him. So, Julianne, is he gay?

According to the actress/dancer, “I [told him], ‘You know I’m not straight, right?'” she said in an interview with the magazine. He responded, “I’m sorry, what?” ‘I’m not,’ I said. But I’ve decided to stay with you. I think there’s a safety with my husband now that I’m unpacking all of this,” Julianne Hough added, “and there’s no fear of voicing things that I’ve been afraid to admit or that I’ve had shame or guilt about because of what I’ve been told or how I was raised.”

The 31-year-old was identified as having endometriosis in 2008, a condition that can make it challenging for women to get pregnant. The couple decided to begin IVF procedures last July. In a recent episode of his iHeartRadio podcast How Men Think, Brooks revealed to listeners that his wife got three shots every day for two weeks, describing her as a “champion.”

“Knowing she has endometriosis, it could make things difficult to conceive naturally in the future,” he said. That only examined the larger picture and our collective goals as a family. “As a husband, I just go into full support mode,” he continued.
