Author and evangelical Christian minister Raymond Charles Stedman. He was the author of numerous publications and the longtime pastor of the Peninsula Bible Church in Palo Alto, California.
Who is Ray Stedman?
Despite being a man’s guy, Ray had four daughters. Ray and his wife Elaine went through a lot of upheaval and pain during the Jesus Movement era of the ’60s, but it was also a tremendous time of development and expansion for Ray’s ministry.
Ray’s calling and passion was biblical teaching (exposition), and he inspired others via the preaching of the Word. Through his writing, he influenced and educated many more people.
Stedman wrote and published over nineteen volumes that cover the gamut of the Christian experience, from Spiritual Warfare to the incisive commentary Adventuring Through the Bible, and even include the groundbreaking work Body Life, which profoundly influenced the church throughout the twentieth century.
How Did Ray Stedman Die?
On October 7, 1992, the world lost Ray Stedman, a prominent Christian minister and writer. He was 78 when he passed away from cancer. Ray Stedman was well-known among Christians for his insightful teaching and writings on the Bible.
The influence he had on many people’s spiritual life is preserved in his writings and sermons.
