Sunday night’s 95th Academy Awards were a master class in subtle glitz, with muted tones and classic designs taking center stage. The red carpet at this year’s Oscars was, in a departure from previous years, a champagne color, and many of the stars arrived at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles dressed in similarly light hues.
Emily Blunt wore a figure-hugging Valentino design, and Michelle Williams wore a strapless Chanel Couture gown with a sheer overlay and crystal embroidery. Michelle Yeoh, another contender for Best Actress, wore a white Dior dress embellished with black feathers, which was one of the most striking examples of the trend.
