Bertinelli posted a candid video of herself at the airport on her way to see her son, singer Wolfgang Van Halen, who is 31 years old, on Tuesday to mark the occasion of her divorce. “Just now, a lawyer called. Each document has been signed. They will soon be submitted, “She spoke. Bertinelli added “I’m officially divorced as of 11/22/22. joyfully separated. Finally, it is over.”
She said, “Yes!” to end the video. Over her film, Bertinelli added the phrase “happily divorced.” After requesting a legal separation in November 2021, the Hot in Cleveland star filed for divorce six months later, in May. According to records PEOPLE obtained at the time, Hank Goldberg, a private judge, decided the case.
This pertains to the premarital agreement validity procedure as well as the spousal support and legal fees issues. Bertinelli and Vitale did not show up in court. According to court documents acquired by PEOPLE at the time and filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, the Golden Globe winner requested spousal support in June after divorcing Vitale.

In addition to contesting the legality of their prenuptial agreement, Vitale allegedly sought to prevent Bertinelli from claiming spousal support. According to court documents acquired by PEOPLE, Bertinelli filed a 13-page plea to separate her marital status from financial difficulties in her and Tom Vitale’s divorce in response to her ex’s challenge of their premarital agreement in July.
Bertinelli requested “an early and separate trial on the subject of the validity of Premarital Agreement,” according to court filings. In the end, Bertinelli’s request meant a separate trial from any other unresolved divorce-related matters; she made the motion after Vitale requested $200,000 in legal expenses and $50,000 per month in spousal support in early July, according to the records.
Bertinelli’s motion claimed that a “waiver of temporary and permanent spousal support” is contained in their prenuptial agreement, which the two signed in 2010 before getting married. Bertinelli listed “irreconcilable disagreements” as the cause of their divorce in court documents from the initial divorce file.

After dating Vitale for several years, Bertinelli wed him in 2011 on New Year’s Day at their cliffside Malibu home. Her brother Patrick introduced the two of them. The shoes Bertinelli wore on the wedding day were recently sold.
Bertinelli, 62, captioned a collection of images featuring svelte brown Jimmy Choo stiletto heels with diamond studs, “Dropped a couple of items off with @therealreal.” Bertinelli also appeared to be holding two wedding bands in the photograph, which was taken in front of a traditional Tiffany & Co. box.
