On the first Mother’s Day following Lisa Marie Presley’s loss, Riley Keough paid tribute to her “deeply loving” mother. Keough wrote in the caption of an Instagram photo of her parents cuddling her as an infant, “Lucky to have had the best and most genuinely loving mama I could have wished for.
Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley’s sole child, Lisa Marie, passed unexpectedly on January 12 after suffering a cardiac arrest. The oldest of Lisa Marie’s children from her union with Danny is Riley, 33. Additionally, the ex-couple welcomed their son Benjamin, who committed suicide in 2020.
Eight years later, in 2008, Lisa Marie gave birth to twins Finley and Harper Lockwood with her husband Michael Lockwood. At her mother’s burial after Lisa Marie passed away, the “Daisy Jones & the Six” star was so overcome with sadness that she asked her husband, Ben Smith-Petersen, to read her eulogy.
The eulogy, in turn, made it known that the two had welcomed a daughter covertly. It’s unclear, though, exactly when she was born. Internal tensions among the Presley-Keough family have existed since the tragedy. As previously reported by Page Six, Priscilla challenged her late daughter’s will just days after her passing.

On January 26, the entrepreneur submitted a motion to the Los Angeles Supreme Court disputing the legality of a “purported 2016 amendment” to the will that removed her from the position of trustee. The 2016 modification designated Riley as the trust administrator of Graceland, the Memphis home of the famed late singer that is now a popular tourist destination.

Riley also received 15% ownership of the estate. Friends claim that Riley and Priscilla have ceased communication as a result of her motion to contest the will. “Priscilla and Riley are not conversing. True, their relationship is evolving. Just terribly depressing. Riley would truly need her grandmother at this point, a lifelong friend of Riley’s told Page Six.
