Mushoku Tensei, also known as Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, is a Japanese light novel by Rifujin na Magonote. After debuting on the web novel site Shsetsuka ni Naru in November 2012, the light novel adaptation, illustrated by Shirotaka and published by Media Factory’s MF Books, was revealed a year later.
Yuka Fujikawa turned it into a manga, debuting in the June 2014 edition of Monthly Comic Flapper. Studio Bind adapted the manga into an anime series that aired on TV from January 2021 to December 2022. The anime adaption was met with universal acclaim and is widely regarded as one of the best-animated works of 2021.
The series follows a formerly successful man who has become a recluse after being bullied during his senior year of high school. He’s 34 years old and bitter and angry at himself for squandering his youth. The loss of his parents led to his eviction from the family home.
As he walks aimlessly through the dreary streets, he sees a student cross in front of an oncoming truck. He rushes to her aid, only to be struck himself. As his consciousness fades, he enters a fantastical realm of swords and spells. His new life as Rudeus Greyart begins on a mysterious and wondrous planet.

What Will Be The Storyline Of Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation Season 2?
Many viewers of Mushoku Tensei were devastated by the end of the first season. Dead End’s travels and exploits have come to a halt for the time being. Leaving Rudeus in a state of self-doubt and weeping is tragic, but Eris’ explanation for doing so is understandable from a narrative standpoint. It’s possible that this will serve as a springboard for introducing new characters and expanding on existing ones, particularly Sylphy, a childhood friend of Rudeus’s.
Many mysteries will be solved in the upcoming season. Some background will be provided on the Mana Displacement calamity that disrupted Rudeus’s life and the lives of nearly everyone in his vicinity. In addition, we will learn the reason for Rudeus’s sudden appearance in the isekai universe.
How Many Volumes Of Mushoku Tensei Are There?
The Japanese light novel series Mushoku Tensei now has 25 installments as of January 2023. The Mushoku Tensei series has also been adapted into a manga. So far, 16 volumes of the manga have been published, and unlike many other adaptations, it does not merely rehash the plot of the anime. If you like the Mushoku Tensei series, you should read all of the volumes in the series.
When Will The Final Chapter Of The Mushoku Tensei Light Novel Be Released?
In 2023, the Mushoku Tensei light book series has not concluded. The newest volume of Rifujin na Magonote was released on September 25, 2021, in Japan. In 2021 there was just one new volume.
In addition, the release date for Mushoku Tensei Light Novel volume 26 has not been announced, although it is expected to be sometime in 2023. The second season of Mushoku Tensei will focus on the Quagmire and the Magic School.
Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Trailer Confirms Quagmire Arc, Magic School Arc
After the events of season 1, Rudeus forms a new party in a wintry area, where he earns the moniker “The Quagmire” in the source novels. This arc—also known as the Mid-Level Adventurer Arc—was mostly omitted from the Mushoku Tensei manga adaptation in favor of the Magic School Arc—also known as the University Arc.
However, the season 2 trailer confirms that it will adapt both the Quagmire arc and the Magic School arc. In addition, Sylphie, who has been absent since the Teleportation Incident of Season 1, makes a brief appearance in the clip, suggesting that she may return.
The teaser also features brief appearances by the major supporting cast members that Rudeus will meet throughout his time at the academy. We’ve met several of them before in previous episodes. Here’s a trailer for what you should see.
The second season of Mushoku Tensei will premiere in 2023. There is currently no scheduled release date for it. Crunchyroll will once again be the US broadcaster for the anime’s simultaneous airing with Japan. The run of Rifujin na Magonote’s original Mushoku Tensei novel has ended in Japan.
In the United States, the series has been translated up to volume 16. The manga adaptation is ongoing and has already covered most of the Magic School storyline. If you can’t stand the idea of waiting for Season 2 to find out what happens next, you should try reading the novel or manga.
