The upcoming Japanese anime Gyakuten Sekai No Denchi Shojo: Rumble Garanndoll will explore the dark past of Japan, be specific the early Showa period. The official website for the series recently got updated with a promotional video and other details. And the hardcore anime fans went all gaga over it! But it remains a mystery whether “Rumble Garanndoll” is an English tagline or related to Japanese.
The series won’t exactly follow the history. There will be a few amendments in it, but again every anime adopts the same policy. You’ll get to see a visible difference between the Showa period Japan and present Japan! Gyakuten Sekai No Denchi Shojo: Rumble Garanndoll Release Date
In April, the anime’s website started working, and it confirmed the release of Gyakuten Sekai No Denchi Shojo: Rumble Garanndoll. Then, a few weeks later, Kodawa revealed the first trailer for it. That trailer gave the eager fans an insight into the anime’s settings, characters, and conflicts. But it did not disclose anything about the official release date.
However, there was a leak that the anime will release in October, but the creators haven’t confirmed this news. Moreover, as the anime’s trailer has already dropped, we won’t have to wait for a very long time!
Cast
The anime’s official website introduced all the characters in a very organized way. The main protagonist of the show is Hosomichi Kudō (voiced by Seiichirō Yamashita). He is a club owner and has some sort of illegal business under his control. Hosomichi works from a shady district of Tokyo. And just like every anime hero, he also has a few close companions; Akagi (voiced by AI Fairouz), Yuki Aoba (voiced by Aina Suzuki), and Misa Kuroki (voiced by Shiori Izawa). Each of these girls is unique in its own way, and they get along with our main character very well.
The group of these four characters will be the main focus of the show! As the show is set in the alternate rule of the Show era, the majestic four will be seen struggling to keep their cultural heritage and land intact at the time of a militaristic regime. Plot
The literal translation of “Gyakuten Sekai no Denchi Shojo” is “Turnabout World’s Battery Girl,” which gives away a major chunk of the plot. The main storyline will revolve around Shinkoku Nippon. It is a fictional world that appears to be upside down above the skies of Japan. And when this happens, chaos starts to spread.
Eventually, Japan gets taken over by the new world, named “Genkoku Nippon.” And the main motive of the intruders is to eradicate the culture of Japan and to incorporate their own ways into the lives of Japanese inhabitants. They don’t act on their plans peacefully. Instead, they implement the new laws by force which then leads to riots and deaths.
And all of this does not happen in the past. Instead, it happens in the future (in the year 2029). The show also hints at the future world and how people will get trapped by advanced technology. So, this gives a very eerie vibe! At this time of oppression, a group named “Arahabaki ” will emerge, which will fight against the oppression forces.
Under this harsh rule, almost all of Japan’s traditions will die, including its anime, manga, and video games! Unless someone has a great plan. And this is where our 4 heroes will swoop in and save Japan from completely transforming into Genkoku Nippon.
