Katy Perry at King Charles’ Coronation Concert

At a concert celebrating King Charles III’s coronation, Katy Perry’s stunning performance of her famous song “Roar” had the young British royals tapping their feet in their seats. The singer sang two songs from her discography, “Roar” and “Firework,” on stage at Windsor Castle while wearing a gold ballgown with Disney Princess accents.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte, two of King Charles’s grandkids, were seen bopping along in their seats during “Roar,” including a drone show of a lion in the skies above the stage. Charlotte appeared to be singing along. During a brief pause in the middle of her performance, Perry, who was present as the British Asian Trust’s ambassador, expressed her delight at being a part of the occasion.

She told the 20,000-person crowd, “I am so glad to be here with you folks. I love you so much. I got to bring my mom; she is overjoyed to be here. Therefore I am thrilled to celebrate this entire weekend. It was no massive issue that we got to stay in Windsor Castle.

As an ambassador for the British Asian Trust, Perry was also a guest at the coronation on Saturday. A video of the pop diva locating her seat at Westminster Abbey while wearing a lilac Vivienne Westwood suit and a tilted hat à la “My Fair Lady” rapidly went viral on social media.

Other performers at the coronation celebration on Sunday night were the ’90s British boy band Take That, who came together, especially for the occasion, and Lionel Richie, who had the King and his wife, Queen Camilla, on their feet. Tom Cruise, Hugh Jackman, and Pierce Brosnan were among the celebrities who appeared in pre-recorded video transmissions honoring Britain’s new queen.
