Rep. Lauren Boebert Files for Divorce From Husband

Rep. Lauren Boebert, a two-term Colorado Republican and well-known national far-right politician has filed for divorce from her 20-year marriage. According to the Colorado Sun, Boebert filed for divorce from her husband, Jayson, late last month. The congressman verified the information and gave “irreconcilable differences” as the explanation for the breakdown of her marriage in a written statement to the publication.

“I filed for divorce from my husband with a significant burden on my heart. In a statement initially obtained by the Sun, Boebert stated, “I am grateful for our years of marriage and our lovely children, all of whom deserve privacy and affection as we work through this process. Since I’ve always been devoted to my spouse and believe in marriage, this revelation is made all the more difficult.

When Jayson Boebert saw the petition, he allegedly became “furious,” according to an affidavit. Boebert identified himself, according to the process server, before his manner drastically changed after learning the information. The server described what happened: “he started yelling and using profanities.”

Even though this claim and others were based on the relevant legal file, Lauren Boebert publicly defended her husband on Wednesday, casting doubt on reports regarding the process server’s statement. Boebert stated on Twitter that “the stories reported about the process server, and even Jayson running over a mailbox, are a complete lie.”

In the same way that he doesn’t drink Bud Light, Jayson doesn’t spend his time cleaning guns or drinking beer from a glass. According to the document, the congresswoman is fighting for custody of the couple’s four sons and child support. Boebert said she would not “discuss this matter any further in public” out of respect for their children.

The Republican had previously disclosed that her oldest son Tyler was expecting a son, making her a grandmother of 36. “Now, my son responded, “Well, didn’t you make Granny a 36-year-old granny?” when I approached him and informed him, “Tyler, I’m going to be a 36-year-old grandma,” Boebert mentioned that Tyler was born to her and Jayson as a teenager.

Boebert booed President Joe Biden during a State of the Union address, joined forces with other conservatives to force a days-long impasse in the election of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, and nearly avoided defeat in a surprisingly tight reelection race in November.
