Mark Sheehan Cause of Death Co-founder Passed Away at the Age of 46

The Script’s famous guitarist and co-founder Mark Sheehan passed away at the age of 46. On Friday, the band posted on social media to share the devastating news. Mark Sheehan, a beloved husband, father, brother, bandmate, and friend, died today in a hospital following a brief illness, according to an Instagram post.

The family and group beg that their privacy be respected during this difficult time. Together with Glen Power and Danny O’Donoghue, Sheehan created the group in Dublin in 2001. Childhood pals and former bandmates of Mytown, Sheehan, and O’Donoghue, were one another.

The songs “Breakeven,” “Hall of Fame,” and “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved” are the band’s most well-known tunes, and they have released six studio albums overall. Their debut album, which bears the same name, peaked at No. 1 in both the UK and Ireland. Sunsets & Full Moons, their most recent original music release, was released in 2019.

Last September, they also made a track called “Dare You to Doubt Me” available. O’Donoghue, 42, told Sunday World in May that The Script performed a few performances in the United States in 2021 and early 2022 without Sheehan so that he could spend more time with his family. He said, “His wife needed a husband and his kids needed a father.”

He was quoted as saying, “He’s been the engine of The Script for such a long time, [I told him] that if you want to take a bit of time out for your family you are more than welcome to, and I insist on you going and doing it,” with the caveat that he returned “refreshed.” In June, the group was slated to accompany Pink on her U.K. tour. The three children Cameron, Avery, and Lil that Sheehan had with his wife Rina are still living.
