The “Real Housewives” ladies who are “already skinny” don’t have the same freedom as Lauren Manzo, who acknowledged using a diabetes medicine to lose 30 pounds. The 35-year-old former “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star revealed to co-hosts Danny Murphy and Evan Real of Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast during a live recording on Thursday at City Winery in New York City, “I have been considered morbidly obese.”
“I do believe that [Ozempic] abuse should be avoided. I believe it is being misused because I see “Housewives” posts where you can see their ribs, which is awful. After all, you were already tiny. Manzo acknowledged that her past weight of 280 pounds had negatively impacted her mental health and that she had started taking tripeptide medication under the trade name Mounjaro.
She said that she had high blood pressure, anxiety, and sadness. A gluten- and dairy-free diet helped the former Bravo celebrity lose 50 pounds, but she “couldn’t lose any more,” so her pharmacist suggested climbing Mount Mounjaro for the remaining 30 pounds.
“I understand why people don’t like it or cheer it on,” But it’s a weekly shot in your stomach, just like Ozempic,” she explained. “You guys have seen me struggle with this since I was 20. It’s been hard for me, and being on that whole “Ozempic” thing has caused me to lose a lot of weight.” The former reality star revealed her weight concerns on the Bravo series and in the media.

She is the daughter of “RHONJ” alum Caroline Manzo. Lauren admitted to Us Weekly in 2012 that she found it “hard” to watch herself on television because she thought the camera had added “800 pounds.” She also acknowledged getting a lap band to help her lose weight. However, Lauren claimed on “Virtual Reali-Tea” that she has experienced confidence-based attacks both on- and off-screen.
She claimed that a Bravo publicist previously told her that she was “just not marketable” and that she wasn’t invited to go on Z100’s “The Morning Show,” which she thought was “really messed up” because she believed it was “really messed up.” The mother of one joked, “Now I’m in therapy.” For her part, Caroline claimed she spent years watching her daughter struggle to reach a healthy weight.
The host of “Food, Love and Chaos,” 61, said, “She had the lap band; we had to have an emergency to remove it because her stomach was all twisted.” She obtained the sleeve, which I strongly objected to because she only had a half-chest. This young person right here is the hardest-working person I have ever seen regarding health.
Lauren added that she had no regrets about using Mounjaro and that the one thing, even more than weight-loss surgery, has aided her recovery and improved her mental state. I’m pretty appreciative of it. Other Bravolebrities are coming clean about utilizing Type II diabetes medications to help them lose weight, including Ozempic.

Alum of “Shahs of Sunset” Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi revealed she shed more than 10 pounds on the drug, and Dolores Cantina recently acknowledged using it to lose weight before the “RHONJ” Season 13 reunion taping. While some are admitting it, others continue to insist that they are utilizing conventional techniques to lose weight, such as exercising and eating well.
Kyle Richards of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” rejected many allegations that she used Ozempic, calling them “offensive,” and Gina Kirschenheiter of “Real Housewives of Orange County” lashed back at a supporter who accused her of taking the drug. Was it done with the live event? The entire show can still be streamed.
