Nearly two months after the 25-year-old Euphoria star’s untimely demise, the official cause of death has been disclosed.
The Alameda County Coroner tells PEOPLE that Cloud, who played Fezco on the popular HBO series, died of acute intoxication due to an accidental overdose.
Depressants like cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, and benzodiazepines (used to treat diseases like anxiety disorders, sleeplessness, and seizures) were found in the actor’s system before he passed away.
On Monday, July 31, word spread that Cloud had passed away. The actor’s family announced his death in a statement to PEOPLE at the time of his passing.
