Roger Neal, Barker’s spokesman, confirmed that the actor passed away of natural causes early Saturday morning at his home in the Hollywood Hills in California.
Barker donated millions to animal rights organizations and funded the Bob Barker, a 1,200-ton ship used by the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society to block Japanese whaling ships from killing whales off the coast of Antarctica.
Barker gave the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society $5 million of his own money. The funds were put toward the purchase of a vessel in Barker’s honor for use in the group’s anti-whaling efforts.

Changes in Barker’s Health Throughout Time
Barker has had a number of health problems that have plagued him since the beginning of his career. In 1999, when his left carotid artery became clogged, he was admitted to the hospital. In May of 2002, he suffered a stroke, from which he miraculously recovered in a month. In 2005, he was diagnosed with skin cancer and underwent surgery to remove his prostate.
In addition, he acquired a few wounds over the years. In 2015, he suffered a concussion and a wounded forehead after tumbling down a pavement. Officers on patrol noticed him and dispatched backup.
