This 40-year-old Harlem diva and her 44-year-old producer husband tied the wedding in June 2012 and divorced in August 2021. Franklin reportedly filed for divorce in December of that year, and we were able to collect the related court paperwork. On Thursday, June 2, they discreetly settled their divorce. To the best of everyone’s knowledge, neither Good nor Franklin will have to fork over any dough for alimony.
Separation was announced in December 2021, with the couple saying in a joint statement, “after much prayer and deliberation, we have decided to walk into our futures separately but forever united.”
Together, we’ve been married for nearly a decade, and our love for each other grows stronger with time. No one is to blame; we see this as the next most extraordinary step in developing our relationship.

Meagan Good Divorce
The divorce between Meagan Good and DeVon Franklin (Instagram) was completed peacefully. In other news, Radar Online reports that the divorce between the Harlem singer and her soon-to-be ex-husband, Franklin, is moving forward. Their divorce agreement specifies that neither of them will be required to make spousal support payments.
Radar has learned that Franklin filed paperwork asking the judge in his divorce case to grant him a default judgment because God has failed to appear. The minister explained to the judge that his ex-wife had permitted him to handle the legal proceedings. He claims in the papers that the two settled on a fair division of their assets and property through negotiation.
Both parties have mutually agreed to end their respective spousal support claims, and Meagan will revert to her maiden name. Franklin filed for divorce and gave Good access to his financial records. The actress has not tried to retain legal counsel or pursue legal action relating to the breakup.
To avoid Good’s presence in court, Franklin has asked for the divorce to be finalized. A written agreement covers “the issues subject to disposition by the court in this proceeding,” he adds. His paperwork also clarifies that he is not seeking alimony, child support, or partner support from the Prodigal Son actress, nor is he seeking reimbursement for any expenses incurred by him or his legal team.
The two actors who met on Jumping the Broom in 2011 tied the knot in June of that same year after getting engaged in May. Together, they said “there’s no one at fault” for their divorce in a statement posted to Franklin’s Instagram.
“After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected,” Good and Franklin said in a joint statement.
We have been married for almost ten years, and our love for each other endures forever. We hold that this is the natural progression of our love and that no one is to blame. The years we’ve spent as husband and wife have been among the most formative of our lives, and we couldn’t be more appreciative. Because of God’s grace, we have each other, and we are eternally grateful.
