Trapped in a Dating Sim Season 2: Release Date Update, Plot & More

Many people have shown an interest in Leon Fou Bartfort, the strange but fascinating gangster character from ENGI. Trapped In A Dating Sim is an anime with a unique plot, even though the title may not make it sound alluring. The 2017 television production was created by Yomu Mishima and is based on a light novel of the same name.

The web series was picked up by Micro Magazine and later by Jun Shiosato for a manga adaptation after receiving numerous favourable reviews. The web series eventually had about 176 instalments, which was a sufficient length for an anime adaptation. The show debuted on April 3rd, 2022, and ran through June 19th, 2022, on ENGI, a network best known for Uzaki-chan Wants To Hang Out, and The Detective is Already Dead.

Trapped in a Dating Sim ended with roughly 12 episodes, just enough to give the audience a general idea of the plot while leaving an opportunity for a second season. The anime’s genre combines science fiction, comedy, and isekai while featuring a plot involving harems and reverse harems.

What happened in Season 1 of Trapped In A Dating Sim?

The show’s first episode introduces a typical white-collar worker who is shown playing an otome game for his sister. She asks him to finish it, and he agrees after noticing her bothersome whims. He despises the main character and the reverse harem plot, which depicts women as the dominant force in this universe, as soon as he begins the game.

He succeeds in beating the game with a perfect score. When he stands up, he bumps his head and knocks himself out. When he awakens, he discovers he has become a young child named Leon Fou Bartfort. His stepmother is a harsh, domineering woman who treats his father like trash; his father is an impoverished baron.

At first, Leon is unaware of his location. Still, after becoming familiar with the surroundings and recalling his gaming experiences, he realizes that he has been reincarnated into the otome game he had just finished. Over ten years, Leon can retaliate against his harsh stepmother. Using his prior experience, he can acquire Luxion, an AI ship/robot that assists him.

Leon then enrols in The Academy, a university where men can find ladies who will wed them. Once at the Academy, Leon encounters the romantic interests from the game, but they are guarding a different female than the usual heroine (Olivia). The plot remains the same as the game progresses, but Marie, the new girl, is used instead of Olivia.

Leon wants to exist in this world solely as a mob figure. He eventually finds himself in front of whatever is happening, much to his dismay. We observe him coming to know Olivia and Angelica (Rivals of Olivia in the Original Game) better throughout the first season. He can alter the game’s plot thanks to his evil and perverted mindset.
