Tamara Braun Exits Days of Our Lives: Following nearly two years on the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives, Tamara Braun has decided to leave the show after her most recent run. In a post on Instagram, the actor who plays the part of Ava Vitali revealed that she will be leaving the show.
“Hey, everyone that watches Days!! If you want to say goodbye to Ava, be sure to watch Days of Our Lives tonight, which will air during her final day in Salem,” she added. “I’d share some of my recollections over the last (nearly) two years with you all. My first nose swab serves as the procedure’s beginning and end. Holy cow, Covid! I want to express my gratitude for all the love and support you have consistently shown me. I am going to miss all of you! I’ll still be around here, and you can find me on Instagram!! Much love.”

Back in 2008, when Braun first joined Days of Our Lives, she played the part of Ava, a character with ties to Steve Johnson, played by Stephen Nichols. Her performance as Ava earned her the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series award at the Daytime Emmys in 2009, the year she won her first Daytime Emmy award. She made a brief appearance on the soap opera in 2011 under the alias Taylor Walker, taking the place of Natalia Livingston.
In 2015, as Days of Our Lives was commemorating its 50th anniversary, Braun performed Ava once again. In 2016, she would be leaving for good once more. Her most recent appearance on the NBC sitcom in the role of Ava began in November 2020 and will continue through 2022 at the earliest.
As of the right moment, it is unknown what Braun has planned for the future. Her prior roles include Reese Williams in All My Children and Carly Corinthos and Kim Nero in General Hospital, both of which she played in separate runs on the show. She has also starred in other soap operas in the past.

Since then, she has made sporadic appearances on the soap opera, including playing the role of Taylor Walker in 2011 (when she temporarily replaced Natalia Livingston in the role). It was the show’s 50th anniversary in 2015, and she played the part of Ava once again for the occasion; nevertheless, she left the series for good in 2016. Her most recent run as Ava began in November 2020 and finished this week. Her previous run as Ava started in November 2020.
In addition to her work on Days of Our Lives, Braun has also played the part of Carly Corinthos on General Hospital from 2001 to 2005 and Reese Williams on All My Children from 2008 to 2009. Both of these roles were in addition to her work on Days of Our Lives. She returned to General Hospital in 2017, playing the part of Kim Nero, for which she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for the third time.
