Suzanne Somers got wealthy by following her dreams, yet despite her success, she downplayed her wealth.

After being shunned from Hollywood for years, Somers finally made a comeback in the industry as an actress, but it wasn’t her performance that made her a multimillionaire. You guessed it: the ThighMaster.

It’s possible for anyone to achieve it, Somers assured Hollywood Raw in 2022. Someone once said, “I get calls all the time from people asking, ‘How do I do this?’ You can’t create money just by wanting it. Selling something requires genuine interest in the product. It must be a snug match. I have failed miserably at selling baseball bats. But I didn’t want to ruin the beauty of my legs before wearing my Manolo Blahniks. That’s why the passion felt seemed so odd.

American actress, novelist, and singer Suzanne Somers was worth an estimated $100 million when she passed away in 2010. On October 15, 2023, sadly only one day before her 77th birthday, Suzanne passed away. Over the course of twenty years, she battled breast cancer intermittently.

Suzanne Somers’ breakout role as “Chrissy Snow” in “Three’s Company” made her a household figure in the late ’70s. Her famous performance on the show garnered her a Golden Globe nomination and established her as a pioneer in the field of television acting.

Twenty million people watched every episode when it was at its peak. The creators of the show increased her income to $30,000 for each episode in preparation for the fifth season, which is discussed in greater depth further down in this article.

It is well-known that Suzanne stood her ground and sought equal pay to that of her male co-star, John Ritter, who was making $150,000 each episode. In addition, Suzanne wanted 10% of the show’s earnings. She begged the show’s creators to reconsider, but they flatly refused. She subsequently said that the fight had momentarily derailed her acting career.

Thankfully, Suzanne’s career morphed from that of a comedy actress to that of a writer, entrepreneur, and successful businesswoman. Suzanne’s books on self-help, many of which focus on alternative medicine, have made her a household name. Her ThighMaster product was successful enough to earn over $100 million.

Suzanne Somers Cause of Death

According to a statement released by her longtime publicist R. Couri Hay, the “Three’s Company” actress died early Sunday morning at her home. Since the summer, she had been undergoing therapy for her cancer, which had returned.

On the morning of October 15th, Suzanne Somers died at home. The statement continued, “She defied the odds and lived with an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years.”

It went on to say, “Suzanne was surrounded by her close family, including her husband Alan and son Bruce. On October 16th, her 77th birthday, her loved ones gathered to honor her. Instead, they want to honor her exceptional life and express gratitude to her countless devoted admirers.

Hay said Somers will be buried in a small, family-only service this week. A larger memorial service is planned for later in November.

The “Step By Step” star shared the devastating news that her breast cancer has returned on July 31. She posted a poignant photo of herself and her husband Alan Hamel with the caption, “As you know, I had breast cancer two decades ago, and every once in a while it pops up, and I continue to bat it down.” To address it, I have employed both conventional and alternative medicine. I’m not completely out of my depth here.

“I know how to put on my battle gear and I’m a fighter,” Somers said, confident that she will ultimately prevail over the illness this time. All along the road, Alan has been there for me. How much he has helped me is beyond words. If that’s conceivable, our bond is stronger than ever.

She stated that her loved ones had been very encouraging during her illness and would be handling most of her company operations. In the year 2000, Somers was given the news that she had breast cancer.

Somers Dies of Aggressive Breast Cancer

The late Somers was looking forward to a grand 77th birthday bash even as she fought breast cancer. She had just finished telling People Magazine about her wedding preparations when she passed away.

The author of “Ageless: The Naked Truth About Bioidentical Hormone” said that she and her husband Hamel, their three children (Leslie, Stephen, and Bruce), their son Bruce’s wife (Caroline), and their six grandchildren will celebrate their special day together.

“I heard Caroline is preparing her renowned short rib tacos and I have requested for excessive amounts of cake. I absolutely adore cake,” she told the newspaper. Hamel, who joined the conversation, spoke highly of his wife’s resilience and provided an update on how she was doing with her illness and medication.

“Suzanne and I just returned home from the Midwest where Suzanne had six weeks of intensive physical therapy,” the doting husband revealed. “Even after our five decades together, I still marvel at Suzanne’s amazing determination and commitment.”

Somers made the Suzanne Somers LOVE bracelet to remember the difficult year and the recurrence of her disease. It was a present for her “amazing friends and followers who have been so loyal and loving to me, especially since my recent health setbacks.”

In her own words, she described the unique necklace as follows: “It’s a silver heart design on a gold satin cord and it’s a way for us to send and receive love and feel the unity of our most important human connection.”

“The message on the card memorializes a voice that I heard, as clear as day, when I was in the hospital about 10 years ago,” the “Candid Camera” co-host elaborated. The message said, “It’s not who you are. You don’t have it. Nothing you do matters. Only love and being loved matter. The voice sounded like it was coming directly from a speaker system; it was that loud and clear.
