What Was His Cause Of Death?
The Lane County Sheriff’s Office issued the following statement in a press release regarding the incident that was shared on Facebook. The statement reads as follows: “At approximately 2:30 p.m., after receiving a report of an injured person, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office responded to the rock slides just a short distance west of Triangle Lake.”
Deputy sheriffs were dispatched to the scene, and upon arrival, they found that a 22-year-old man who had been hiking in the area had fallen and sustained a head injury. The onlookers and the coming medical personnel all made futile efforts to bring him back to life but to no avail.
When the Search and Rescue team from the Lane County Sheriff’s Office arrived to assist in bringing him back to the road, he had gone about 100 yards down a dangerous path.
According to the conclusion of the post, there is no evidence to suggest that he was the victim of any kind of foul play, and it seems more likely that he died as a result of an accident.
