After only 11 months of life, Sharon Stone’s nephew and godson, River Stone, passed away. The 63-year-old actress said on Monday that River passed away three days ago, after being discovered unresponsive in his cot. Patrick and Tasha, Stone’s brother and sister-in-law are the proud parents of River.
On September 8th, he would have turned a year old. On Monday, Stone posted a video to Instagram showing a happy River playing in bed to Eric Clapton’s “Tears in Heaven.” Her note read, “River William Stone September 8, 2020 – August 30, 2021.”
In an Instagram post last week, Stone showed an image of River being hooked up to medical equipment and asked for prayers. Celebrities like Cindy Crawford, Kate Hudson, Ruby Rose, and Sharon Osbourne all reached out to her in the comments.

River Stone, the author’s godson, and nephew, “was found in his crib with total organ failure today.” We ask that you keep him in your prayers. The only thing that can save us now is a miracle. Stone and her family have had to deal with life-changing medical problems before.
After suffering a stroke in September 2001, her doctors gave her a 1% chance of life at best. She discussed it openly in her new autobiography, “The Beauty of Living Twice.” She writes, “I was walking, a ragged, skewed walk, my right leg dragging a bit, the left side of my face distorted and low, no feeling from the knee up in my left leg.”
“I was talking, oblivious to the fact that I was stuttering, and oblivious to the fact that the walls weren’t actually tiled in squares of color. Both my right ear’s ability to hear in the direction of movement and my previous body weight vanished. After losing weight, I went from being a size eight to a size two and my height to five feet, eight and a half inches.
To understand what was being said, I had to turn my head to the left and read people’s lips, because my right ear was so messed up. I just had a partial picture of what was going on… She went on, “I had lost my short-term memory.” “… For the next two years, I wouldn’t be able to recall where I set my teacup or read a book. Of course, I was awake and functioning normally.
