We regret to inform you that Ratched season 2 will not be available on Netflix in April 2022. I don’t think anyone is surprised by this. Because Netflix hasn’t provided us with any new information on the programme in a long time.
The first season of Ratched debuted in 2020. And we haven’t heard anything about when the second season will begin production, so we’re still waiting to find out. Even though Netflix bought two seasons of the programme (18 episodes in all) before it premiered, the streaming service has failed to provide an update on when we might expect to see the second season.
However, this is partly reasonable given the high demand for the show’s creator, Ryan Murphy, and actress Sarah Paulson, both extremely popular. In addition, for the HBO network, the series star Cynthia Nixon has been hard at work filming the Sex and the City sequel, And Just Like That.
Nevertheless, the first season has already concluded its broadcasting schedule. At this time, the second season of Ratched will begin production before the second season of And Just Like That. Or else there would be an even longer gap between seasons, which seems absurd at this point.

Ratched Season 2 Release Date Updates
Although it is March 2022, we still do not know when Ratched season 2 will begin production. Many have speculated that the programme will return to the airwaves in the summer of this year. Ratched’s comeback to the show in 2022 appears increasingly doubtful. It will most likely not happen until late in the year. Maybe as late as November or December, and even that would be pushing it.
Currently, the programme will not return until 2023 at the earliest. It is difficult to predict because Murphy is preoccupied with American Horror Story (at least three more seasons on the way to FX). And its Hulu offshoot American Horror Stories: Freak Show.
Given that both Impeachments: American Crime Story and American Horror Story: Double Feature have already been broadcast. It does not appear that Paulson will be experiencing any schedule problems shortly.

And Finn Wittrock will shortly begin filming for HBO’s Green Lantern series on HBO Max, so Murphy has a lot on his plate already. It’s not hard to see why season 2 of Ratched has taken so long to begin.
