On December 30th, Mike Tenay, a friend, and fellow pro wrestling commentator broke the tragic news that West had passed away after hearing it from Terri, West’s wife. Former Shop at Home Network host and pitchman West has sold over $1 billion in merchandise during his time there. His popularity resulted in multiple spoofs of his routine on Saturday Night Live. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter hired him as a color commentator in 2002.
