Reuters, LONDON, October 27 – The memoir by British Prince Harry, titled “Spare,” will be released on January 10 and will detail his path from “pain to healing” with “raw unflinching honesty,” publisher Penguin Random House announced on Thursday.
The book will be “full of insight, revelation, self-examination, and hard-won wisdom on the enduring power of love over loss,” according to the publisher. It was previously scheduled to be released later this year.

The title alludes to Harry’s status as Prince William’s younger sibling and the heir apparent to the British monarchy since their father Charles’ coronation last month following the passing of Queen Elizabeth. Harry was following his brother in the line of succession until William and his wife Kate had their three children, hence the expression “the spare to the heir.”

When Meghan said that an unknown member of the royal family had voiced reservations about how dark their son’s skin would be and claimed that her life as a royal had left her on the verge of suicide in a 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, the couple shocked the British monarchy.
