The cast includes Mehcad Brooks as Jackson “Jax” Briggs, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion, Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero, Tadanobu Asano as Raiden, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Sisi Stringer as Mileena, Josh Lawson as Kano, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Max Huang as Lung Lao Max, and Lewis Tan as an all-new character.
Mortal Kombat Reboot Story
As mentioned above, Lewis Tan will be playing the role of Cole Young, a “washed-up MMA fighter.” On his chest, Cole Young has a birthmark in the shape of the Mortal Kombat symbol. The mysterious sign starts his journey in the game with Sonya Blade. She leads him to an ancient temple of a thunderous Elder God known as Lord Raiden. There Tan meet a group of highly-skilled fighters.
At the temple, Cole and other fighters polish their fighting skills for a high-stakes tournament to defeat the invading enemies from Outer world, which results in numerous fights that lead to fatalities for the first time.
Kyle Gardiner stunt coordinator said, “I was directed to work on best fight sequences ever done in a movie, and that resulted in some blood-splattered action scenes.”
The movie is already creating hype, but it will still be fascinating to see fans’ reaction when it releases. The first part of the film was launch 25 years ago and it still fans are keeping it on a special place in their hearts.
