John Costello, a club member, told The Epoch Times that Ernby was “more reclusive” following the death of his wife. He claimed that while watching numerous games at O’Malley’s, he spoke with Ernby.
Costello remarked, “He was polite, which is the finest compliment. Both his family and I at Chelsea F.C. will miss him dearly. Axel spent the years 2000 to 2006 working as a business development executive for a software company after earning his degree from Stockholm University in 1999.
According to his LinkedIn page, he then worked as a senior manager for a car manufacturing firm from 2006 to 2015. From 2015 to 2017, he was employed as a development director for Sweden-based Volvo Trucks before turning a consultant.
Although his age could not be confirmed, it was assumed that he was roughly 51 years old. Following the passing of his wife, Kelly received assistance from numerous local politicians and groups because he was well-known in the area and had previously held the position of Orange County District Attorney.
