On Thursday, April 27, 2023, Jerry Springer, an American TV celebrity, journalist, lawyer, and politician of British descent, passed dead. The one-child father, who spent over two decades with media icon Micki Velton, passed away at the age of 79.
At his home in Chicago, the former mayor of Cincinnati reportedly passed away. According to several media reports citing Jerry Springer’s spokeswoman, the talk show star, who was recently informed that he had pancreatic cancer, is in good condition.

Springer is well-known for his work on America’s Got Talent, Judge Jerry, and his own tabloid talk show of the same name. The multi-talented man has only ever been married once, to media star Micki Velton, who has avoided the spotlight ever since the couple’s divorce.
Springer and Velton were married for almost 20 years before they divorced in 1994. The couple apparently went on a blind date in 1969, and they got married in 1973 after almost four years of dating. In 1976, they also had a daughter who was named Katie.
Katie Springer, Jerry’s only child, was born blind and hearing-impaired in one ear. She has a kid named Richard and has been wed to Adam Yenkin since December 2006. According to numerous sources, Katie is a teacher in Chicago who has devoted her life to assisting kids with impairments.

In addition to hosting his own talk show, Jerry Springer advised Robert F. Kennedy’s presidential campaign. Kennedy was the political hero of the venerable talk show host, who joined the former’s 1968 bid for the Democratic nomination for president. The effort, though, was short-lived and came to an end with Kennedy’s murder.

After that, Springer began practicing law at the Cincinnati legal office of Frost & Jacobs, now known as Frost Brown Todd. Coincidentally, he began his political career as a Democrat in the early 1970s and went on to become Cincinnati’s 56th mayor from 1977 to 1978. Jerry Springer transitioned to a television career later in life, working as a journalist and political pundit.
