Is Dolly Parton Still Alive

Famed singer, songwriter, actress, and philanthropist Dolly Parton has captivated audiences across the world with her incredible talent, infectious charisma, and beautiful voice. On January 19, 1946, Dolly Rebecca Parton came into this world in Sevier County, Tennessee.

Dolly moved to Nashville, Tennessee, the “Music City,” after finishing high school because she was hell-bent on being a musician. There she began the climb to stardom. A recent death rumor claimed the life of the famous country music queen Dolly Parton, who was well loved and respected.

Her health, however, does start to alarm people, as it does many others in the public eye. Dolly, who is 76 years old, allegedly had health issues before. Does Dolly Parton seem to be sick? Will she be alive? Keep reading to find out everything there is to know about the “Jolene” singer.

Is Dolly Parton Still Alive?

As far as anyone can tell, the internet rumors are completely false. So far, no reputable news source has reported the 77-year-old’s death. Her official social media accounts have not announced her death. No one associated with her, including her management, relatives, or friends, has confirmed her death, adding credence to the rumors.

Given that neither government agencies nor well-known media outlets verified her demise. The singer from 9 to 5 is, without a doubt, still with us.

If credible information about her purported death hadn’t been readily available online by now, given her celebrity and accomplishment, we would have heard it by now.

It seems like some internet users made up and spread bogus information for no other reason than to achieve short-term influence or popularity. Therefore, before believing such breaking news, make sure you’ve read reputable publications or checked the sources.

The internet has claimed the lives of many famous people, including Dolly Parton. A number of other prominent musicians, such as Justin Bieber, Madonna, and DJ Khaled, have previously succumbed to the troubling habit.

This is nothing new for the Jolene singer; she has dealt with it before. The appearance of Parton’s obituary online in June 2023 caused concern among a number of fans. This follows the passing of one of the singer’s lyricists. In June of 2023, at the age of 82, Cynthia Weil passed away. Images of Dolly Parton appeared in several news pieces, leading some fans to believe that the singer was dying.

Who is Dolly Parton Husband?

Carl Dean is the husband of Dolly Parton. Apart from his well-known wife, virtually little is known about his life and career since he likes to remain out of the limelight. Although it is uncertain if he is still actively involved in the asphalt-laying industry, CountryRebel.com states that he has owned a company in Nashville since 1977.

Dean was born to Virginia “Ginny” Bates Dean and Edgar “Ed” Henry Dean, as reported on DollyParton.com. Dean is one of two brothers. When asked about Ginny, Dolly said she was best friends with Mama Dean.

What little we know about Dean’s character comes from the kind things Parton has said about him in the past.

“I married a really good man, a guy that’s completely different from me,” the country superstar told Parade in 2015. “He’s not in show business. He’s not resentful of any of that. He loves to hear about the things I do. I love to hear about the things he does. So we enjoy each other’s company. We get along good. He’s got a great sense of humor. We’ve just been best buddies and best friends and, evidently, it’s working!”

When Did Carl Dean and Dolly Parton First Meet?

Parton met Dean on her first day in Nashville, where she had relocated to pursue a recording contract, when she was eighteen years old. There was a three-year age gap between them because Dean was 21 years old at the time, as reported by Country Living.

“I was at the laundromat, the Wishy‐Washy—I’d come to Nashville with dirty clothes. I was in such a hurry to get here—and after I’d put my clothes in the machine,” Parton told The New York Times in 1976. “I started walkin’ down the street…and this guy hollered at me, and I waved. Bein’ from the country, I spoke to everybody. And he came over and, well, it was Carl, my husband.”

While babysitting her nephew, Parton invited Dean to sit on her aunt’s porch, despite her reluctance to date.

“He came up every day that week and we set out on the porch. I wouldn’t even take him in the house,” Parton told The New York Times. “Then my aunt got a day off, and she could keep the kid and that was my first chance to go anywhere with Carl and he drove me straight to his folks’ house and introduced me to his mother and daddy. Cause he said he knew right the minute he saw me that that’s the one he wanted.”
