Michael Sterling, Eva Marcille’s estranged husband, is prepared to “fight” to keep their union together after she filed for divorce last week. “I won’t let go of my wife. I’m going to battle for her with everything I’ve got, the lawyer declared in a statement made public on Wednesday and obtained by Page Six.
Sterling continued, “I am not going to lose my wife. I am going to show her how much I love her and that our love is strong enough to get to the other side. He didn’t go into detail about how he’s particularly going to mend the relationship, just that “I am going to get her back.”
Eva Marcille filed for divorce last week, and her estranged husband, Michael Sterling, claimed he wants to win her back. After five years of marriage, Marcille, 38, filed for divorce from Sterling on March 23; however, the news wasn’t made public until this week. Unlike her ex, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum doesn’t seem overly upset by the media attention her divorce case has received.
In a video shared on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, Marcille urged her fans to “smile anyway.” The former member of the “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Ex-Wives Club” stated in her divorce paperwork that she and Sterling’s relationship was “irretrievably destroyed” and there were “no possibilities for a reunion.”

Marcille also asked for legal and primary custody of their two sons, Michael “Mikey” Jr., 4, and Maverick, 3, as well as child support. In a statement to People on Tuesday, she said, “This has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but sometimes life takes your journey in a way you were not expecting.”
The eight and a half years we have spent together will always be cherished, and our children remain our first priority. The “America’s Next Top Model” winner didn’t provide a reason for the separation specifically, instead saying, “We ask that you respect our privacy at this time.

Marcille and Sterling got married in October 2018 after becoming engaged on Christmas Day 2017. Marley, a 9-year-old daughter of the former “Housewife” and R&B singer Kevin McCall, adopted Sterling’s last name in 2020 after he raised her as his own.
