The previously planned four-stage platform rollout for Dumb Money has been reduced to three. Here is the updated release schedule:

Craig Gillespie helms Dumb Money, which he adapted from Rebecca Angelo and Lauren Schuker Blum’s book The Antisocial Network. Paul Dano plays Keith Gill, Pete Davidson plays Kevin Gill, Vincent D’Onofrio plays New York Mets owner Steve Cohen, America Ferrera plays Jennifer Campbell, Nick Offerman plays Citadel CEO Kenneth C.

Griffin, Anthony Ramos plays GameStop, Sebastian Stan plays Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev, Shailene Woodley plays Caroline Gill, Seth Rogen plays businessman Gabe Plotkin, Talia Ryder plays Harmony, and Myha’la Herrold plays Riri.

According to the synopsis, “Dumb Money is the ultimate David vs. Goliath tale, based on the insane true story of everyday people who flipped the script on Wall Street and got rich by turning GameStop (yes, the mall videogame store) into the world’s hottest company.”

Keith Gill, a regular guy, is at the center of it all since he is the one who decides to invest his entire life savings in a single stock and then blogs about it. The success of his social media posts will have a dramatic impact on his life and the lives of his followers.

When a stock tip goes viral, it benefits everyone, but when the billionaires push back, it turns the world upside down for both camps.

The twin brothers Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, who gained notoriety for their ties to the creation of Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook, serve as executive producers alongside Michael Heimler, John Friedberg, Andrew Swett, Angelo, Schuker Blum, Mezrich, Johnny Holland, and Kevin Ulrich on Dumb Money.

Armie Hammer’s portrayal of them in The Social Network is legendary. Gillespie, Teddy Schwarzman, and Aaron Ryder of Ryder Picture Company are also producing the film for Black Bear.
