When Cobra Kai first premiered in 2018 it was an instant hit among the viewers. Why? Because the show serves as a continuation to the story of “The Karate Kid” which was released in 1984. The series now has 3 successful seasons and Cobra Kai Season 4 has also been greenlit by the showrunners. But now the question arises is the 4th season scheduled for a 2021 release?
Cobra Kai Season 4 will be one intense battle for the “Soul of Valley”. Great news for fans because Daniel LaRusso, Johnny Lawrence, and their karate kids are all returning to the screens in 2021! The show is set 34 years after the events of the film. Both rivals; Johnny and Daniel again get into a competition. But both are grown up now and Johnny owns a Cobra Kai dojo where he trains the next generation for the martial arts.
Ralph Macchio, who plays Daniel-san in the series, revealed in an interview that the show is supposed to have 6 seasons. This means that in the future we will get plenty of Cobra Kai content and who knows maybe some cameo appearances from former cast members too! The showrunners also admitted that they will continue with the Karate Kid universe even after this series ends, in the form of spin-offs. But that is a topic for another day!

Release Date
The release date for Cobra Kai Season 4 was revealed along with a teaser. The brand new episodes will drop on Netflix in December 2021! We are yet to get a specific release date for the 4th installment.
The 4th season hasn’t even aired yet but the fandom is already concerned for the 5th installment. If you are one such fan then fret not because the showrunners have hinted at more than 4 seasons, at multiple occasions!
The co-creator reportedly said, “You know, I’ve said it before, but there are storylines that we’ve kicked and we’ve gotten to, and there are storylines that we’ve kicked and we haven’t even approached yet.
“We have multiple seasons of this story left in us to tell, but the fun of this show is that it always hits a new climax that feels like this is it, you know?”
Cobra Kai Season 4 Cast
As the story can’t continue without the main characters so they are bound to come back. Expect these actors to be there in the 4th season; Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, and Martin Kove.
The binary brothers, Demetri (Gianni Decenzo) and Hawk (Jacob Bertrand) will also return. Other important cast members include; Xolo Mariduena (as Miguel), Mary Mouser (as Sam), Tanner Buchanan (as Robby), Jacob Bertrand (as Hawk), Peyton List (as Tory). There might be a few more additions to the existing cast but we don’t know their names yet as Netflix has not revealed the official lineup for the cast of Cobra Kai Season 4.
Plot
In the third season, Johnny and Daniel finally end their long-term feud to defeat their common enemy John Kreese. If their students defeat Kreese, the sadist man will be gone for good. But Kreese always has evil plans to stay in his position so it is not that easy to win. Therefore, the 4th season will most likely revolve around this problem. Will the kids win? If not then how will it affect Johny and Daniel? Guess we’ll have to wait till the 4th season premiers to find this out.
