Carrie Underwood performed the opening verse of her Denim & Rhinestones song “Crazy Angels” for the 2022 AMAs on Sunday while hung above the Microsoft Theater’s audience in a spherical cage (November 20). The country music diva channelled 1980s style while wearing a long-sleeved pink, blue, black, and white leotard and sparkly makeup.

Underwood is up for two nominations for the American Music Awards: the favourite female country artist and favourite country album for Denim & Rhinestones. The album became Underwood’s eighth top 10 album on the Billboard 200 chart, with a No. 10 debut on the Billboard 200 chart and a No. 2 debut on the Top Country Albums chart.

The fall leg of Underwood’s Denim & Rhinestones Tour recently ended, but the tour will resume in Miami in February 2023. On November 9, Underwood performed “Hate My Heart,” another song from her album Denim & Rhinestones, at the 2022 CMA Awards.
