The Canadian-born Angela Seung Ju Lee was born on July 8, 1996, making her 25 years old. Lee, whose father Ken is Chinese and Singaporean and whose mother Jewelz is South Korean-Canadian, relocated to Hawaii when she was seven.
Both of her parents are practitioners of martial arts, and this naturally led to her early introduction to the sport at a young age. Her younger brother Christian Lee competes in mixed martial arts competition, and her younger sisters Victoria Lee and Adrian Lee (both born in Waipahu) also practice martial arts.
